Hey there fellow lighting friends. Wall washing and task lighting are both techniques that require a level of precision in order to properly control the light for each unique space. It is important to consider factors such as height, setback, spacing, and aiming of the fixtures as they are essential to achieve the proper positioning and ultimately, the desired lighting effect.
Today, we have the WingRail luminaire by Vode on hand, and here is what you need to know.
The WingRail luminaire by Vode is a one-stop solution for suspended wall washing and task lighting applications; ideal for corporate, education and library spaces where robust, high performance lighting is required. The WingRail is equipped with a multitude of options that provide designers with the precision needed for nearly any requirement.
So let’s dive into the details. The WingRail is a minimal asymmetric luminaire that can be connected into continuous suspended rows. The luminaire is extremely sleek and adds up to a little over 1” by 2 inches but don’t let the scale lead mislead you…this fixture comes packed with options.
In addition to multiple output choices, the WingRail provides several beam and optic options which control the light including their Zipper Board option with either a white or black baffle and their EdgeSoft optics, a clear lens with EdgeSoft, a diffuse option and even a 19x48 degree oval and a 36 degree medium beam distribution. The light output can additionally be managed with nearly any dimming protocol, be it 0-10 volt, DMX or DALI…and includes specific dimming control including a full range EldoLED dimming option down to 0%. Lastly, the WingRail luminaire provides directional aiming control with infinite rotation, angle gauge and locking mechanism that allows for each individual unit, or units within a continuous row, to be adjusted and configured with precision accuracy, every time.
